Review 2015

Actually, reviews belong to the beginning of the year, don’t they? It makes no difference to me what you should or should not. You should not set houses on fire. You  should help each other. You should not kill. You should be honest. To be continued.

My New Years speech comes, when January goes to its end. No worries, this blogpost definitely neither deals with any resolutions nor free advices. I will answer your questions, if you have any. I would not write about my resolutions if I had any but rather try to keep them.

Strolling the Castro with me myself and I, I got in touch with my senses and thoughts and I considered about my biggest experiences since living in San Francisco. What happened to me in the past 365 days? What was the most special moment? The highest factor of emotion? The best song? The deepest word? The most honest tear? The most delicious taste? 

„You never meet a stranger when the world is your home“ I said to myself and started thinking about my time in the world. 

We have been welcomed in the city with more than open arms. I am still an alien and I can live in peace anyway. Up to now nobody has condemned us. Nobody insulted us or set our flat on fire or entitled us as an economic refugee.

This is my first blogpost in english and it should be all about the people I’ve met here in the last year and all my loved ones at home, who gave me the strength to go on. So please be patient and feel free to correct my phrases.

It’s all about the people!

This has been such an amazing year with so many changes, leaving my family and friends in Germany, in search of new adventures in America, turning 30, meeting new friends, and sharing the new friends and adventures with my loved ones back home.

But what good does the best food do to me, if I can’t enjoy it with somebody? What good does the sunniest day in the park do to me, if I cannot sit next to someone? What good does the best idea do to me, if I cannot share it with someone else?

A lot of things change but I am still the same. Am I?

Family, new friends, companions, Facebook friends and old buddies – this goes out to you, you, and you! And you? Fuck you – Fuck you – You are cool! – Fuck you!

I felt alone and fought with homesickness as I stood on our roof one day and prayed to whomsoever and beg for someone to talk to. Who I could meet with.
In the same night I met three wonderful people. …

Meeting new friends is like
meeting a white sheet of paper 

Jackie remember our meeting at Zeitgeist and our “appointment” the day after? Remember also all the „circumstances“ and misunderstandings you helped me trough! No one should be neckless and I will be a naked snail, more than I wanted to be a naked slut. Trust me! I will tell our orphans! I will never forget the date we’ve met. Which date it was? The birthday of Megumi!
Jackie, I love you and I am so happy that we’ve „candy landed”!

Michael Lee – best landlord and friend ever ever ever! You helped us to get settled in San Francisco. We owe you and you are in our heart. We will never forget what you have done for us. … It is good to have you in mine and Christian’s life.

Kristina Malyseva and Jonas – We had funny moments together and we are friends. It’s a long time ago, when we met the last time. We miss you.

Lone Mørch – you gave me birth a second time. I can see my face now. I am so grateful for our connection.

It was a very special and fantastic year with all of you. New friends are like a walk in new shoes: Every step is a no-regret.

I love my new friends in the States. At the same time I will always ship my soul in mother haven to all of my bests in Germany, you make my life t o t a l l y complete! I thank all of you for your support and chats, for your words and feedback all these years, but in particular the last. Thanks for sharing every tear and thought. You are so good to me and you know who you are: Natja, Kathi, Nico, Dani, Jul, Eva, Sus, Diana Frasek, Rainer, Lena, Jule and all the others I forgot to mention but you are all in my heart! I love you! Alica, your are my Beste! Michelle  und Christian, you’re family and friend at the same time. Good to had you here.
Maralee Barela, Elke, Mike, Jason, Coralie, Karmen and John P Stockdale ! Thank you so much for an amazing Christmas time! You are family! And I am glad being a part of it!

Work could be love 

Schoenewolf Nicole my dearest boss and friend, thanks for your support and friendship. We did it, baby! You liked my work, my posts, you shared my thoughts, you always been good to me and my encouraging of my passion!!! Thank you and Adele Bla for supporting me in becoming me.

Papa – ich weiß, dass du das nicht auf Englisch lesen kannst! Deswegen gebührt dir dieser Satz: Du bist und bleibst der beste Mann in meinem Leben. Ich danke dir für alles, was du für mich tust. Ich bin stolz auf dich!

Kornelia and Birgit you are the best mothers in life. I am so lucky that you never get tired of nurturing and loving and helping me. And you have so much patience for me when I am in good spirits and even when I have a bad temper. Why I really love you? Because!

Julika! You’re out of competition. You are my sister. My blood and soul. My biggest love!

 

The move to the States has been a big step and I will never regret because of you Christian Mohr. You are my heart and home. Everywhere you go, I will follow you. Thanks for your love everyday. Our last eight years were the best in my life! Let’s keep on rocking our love! We are a team, no need to forget.

I want to thank all of you for making this big year far away from home so special and memorable! I am 30 now and it’s the best feeling. I am blessed with great health, a sense of humor, have a great curiosity and confidence for life. A new chapter has begun and I am glad to have all of you in my life to explore the next chapter with. You all are my biggest and best birthday gift.

I would be a stranger if I won’t have all of you in my life!
